This was the second project I completed for Graphic Design Studio I at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. The concept was to create buttons inspired by the history of the Vikings. The images are inspired by the content I learned in a Vikings History class I was taking that semester. They images include references to Norse mythology, imagery those who study Viking history would recognize (for example the shield), and phrases that would be humorous to historians (such as the misconception that Vikings wore hats with horns or the reference to the Sagas, a common primary source for this era of history). This project was interesting for me because it allowed me to combine my interest in history with my interest in design.
